Reducing the Greenhouse Effect through Alternative Industrial Estates Management in North West Europe
An extension of the REGAIN project has just begun to sensitize a wider audience with new actions, which show with their exemplarity that it’s important to build hight energy performance buildings in business parks.
Creation of a decision support tool (software) and rationale for investors and financial experts to invest in such buildings in order to help the project initiators to have access to loans and other investments.
Realisation of 2 new pilot buildings (extension of the Regain building in Belgium and in France) by insisting on a new dimension : the green building site.
Technical trainings for the education and training sectors, learning on green worksite, specific techniques.
New work method for a better experience from users in this type of buildings with specific innovative signage.
We find it as a Charter or a regular intention mail, sometimes used like an awareness tool. It can be also contractual, lead to penalties and to impose a person in charge of Green Building Sites in each construction businesses.
Sometimes directly controlled by the project management, the monitoring is often entrusted to a third party who’s the Architect, the project manager or an Assistant project manager in “Green construction”
This meeting, organized by PALME was an opportunity to take stock of these devices. Especially the costs and effectiveness through some examples implemented by the members of the association.
This meeting is a first work to define the groundwork of a “Green Construction” document that will be written for the process of extension of the REGAIN programme.
